Thing 19 Apps #2

For badge 19 I am looking at two apps ,Notes and Coggle. I have previously used the notes app on my phone but not as fully as it was designed to be used.I had only used it previously to take some notes when trying to write some poems. I went back into notes on my phone and experimented a little more with it.I added a picture which was a little harder than just making a random list. I don't really like using writing apps on my phone as they are a little small to see.

I then went on my home computer and looked at Coggle. I had never heard of this app before but it was easy to find and only one click to my hotmail account and that was me signed up. I decided to try and make a mind map on Developing our outdoor space as that is my priority one at work just now. Although there were not many instructions I just explored with it until I felt comfortable with how to guide myself around it.
I was actually surprised as this was something in the SSSC badges that I saw and thought I would hate doing as it looked so complicated but I actually enjoyed doing it. I could see how this app would be helpful with a group of people working on a project together and a good way to compile their ideas. I will definitely use this app in the future either alone or with a group. 

Here is a picture of my Coggle. I tried to get a link but I couldn't seem to do that on Blogger. 
The PDF wouldn't load into it as it seemed to be too big .

I began this badge by looking at  https://www.theguardian.com/social-care-network/2014/jul/10/social-care-social-media-digital-tools which is an old article from 2014.It looks at what is holding the sector back and states that " while social services may not have their own Twitter accounts, increasingly the people that lead them do". I  would agree that in 2014 our sector didn't have its own media presence but that has changed over the years,especially over the last few months.It probably was out of fear of data protection  and confidential issues but that has been overcome now with a more different concern. Thing 20:Collaboration

For Thing 20:Collaboration I was to contribute to a shared document, take part and set up a poll and then blog about my experience. Firstly I was to contribute to a shared document on either Padlet or Google Docs. The purpose of these documents is to build a bank of advice for future 23 Things participants.Firstly to get access to these documents I had to email sssclearningtech@sssc.uk.com to be sent a link. I sent a email for both Padlet and Google Docs and received the activation links within 1 hour. I began by going into Google Docs which was easy to navigate around and easy to put my comments on.I commented on 3 questions on this document. I then had a look at Padlet which I thought looked nicer than Google Docs but a little harder to put on my posts. I added a post but then realised I hadn't signed in so I signed in and then added another post. Thing 21 -Digital Legacy These are the questions I have been asking myself whilst completing this badge. What will happen to all the information I have put online once I die ? Should I put someone in charge of this, either to keep things updated or delete? Who would this person be ? Who would I trust enough to give this person access to not only my social media accounts but my bank accounts ?
